Content Marketing Plan
In the mist of Covid-19 (Corona Virus), we at JDS WebDesign are hoping everyone is safe, washing your hands frequently, sneezing and coughing in your elbow, and practicing social distancing. Over the next several weeks, we are planning on blogging about how to make your website more business friendly. We will have some tutorials on our favorite plugins and features, which will make your site more efficient.
What is a content marketing plan? Many feel that it is the process of getting your blog, web site, product, and/or service to your target audience. We use the know, like, and trust method (KLT). But how do we use the KLT? We use 3 steps to get full engagement. Announcement. Sharing. Building.
Announcement is very important in the getting your target audience to know, who you are. Announcement can be made on your current web site. Count downs are good for announcements. Social Media, especially Facebook Business Pages, Twitter, Instagram and Linkedin can be used to make announcement.
Make sure you are ready to launch prior to the announcement date!!! Remember this is your first impression…the goal is to get your target audience a change to know you, and your service or product.
Sharing your service or product on social media platforms. Guest blogger (which is a forgotten science) is an excellent way to gain some traction. Comments on other’s web site or blog is a great way to share your service or products. Many visitors read the comment section. Many bloggers read the comment section. Making informative comments, can create a guest blogger or an article about your service or product.
Create an email list. Make sure you use your email list. Send out an introduction email to your subscribers. Make sure you are providing engaging content for your subscriber. If you are sending out blogging content, then make sure you are both persistence and consistent. Make sure your content is engaging and relevant to your target audience.
When you are announcing, sharing, and building your content, make sure you keep your organic search engine optimization plan (SEO) in mind. Making sure your Know, Like, and Trust plan is interwoven with your SEO plan is very critical to the success of your site.
Remember these steps might take you anywhere from 3 – 6 months, but growing an organic audience is well worth the time and effort. Remember to mix in some social media ads, call to action with free give-a-ways, and blog post about problem area for your target audience.
