What is a LEAD MAGNET?
In the mist of Covid-19 (Corona Virus), we at JDS WebDesign are hoping everyone is safe, washing your hands frequently, sneezing and coughing in your elbow, and practicing social distancing. Over the next several weeks, we are planning on blogging about how to make your website more business friendly. We will have some tutorials on our favorite plugins and features, which will make your site more efficient.
What is a lead magnet? A lead magnet is a tool that marketers use to collect a person or lead contact information. They take a ton of time to put together. Some lead magnets are super in-depth. Lead magnets should grow your email list.
A lead magnet encourage visitors or your target audience to provide their contact information in exchange for a high quality resource. Some will provide blog posting at an earlier time frame or more length blog posts. A lead magnet may be an ebook, template, or white paper. It is usually some type of downloadable asset, but it may also be a coupon code or value based asset (longer blog post or earlier timeframe post).
Lead Magnets must have the following:
*Call to Action (CTA) is a statement, button or link which is used to engage your visitors or target audience. Some prime examples would be “Ways to grow your business”.
*Landing Page is where your call to action button or link lead your visitors or target audience. If your call to action is a statement, then generally it would be located on your landing page. The landing page provides valuable information for your visitors and target audience.
*Thank you page, which some forget to create, is where you express your gratitude to your visitors and target audience. You should make it personally, maybe include the person’s name in your message.
*Kickback email, is the beginning of your email campaign. It should include the offer (ebook, template, white paper, value based asset, or some type of reward) and could include an upsell or other potential opportunity to engage with your visitors or target audience.
