Websites Marketing Strategies Part 1

In the midst of Covid-19 (Corona Virus), we at JDS WebDesign are hoping everyone is safe, washing their hands frequently, sneezing and coughing in their elbow, and practicing social distancing.  Over the next several weeks, we are planning on blogging about how to make your website more business-friendly.  We will have some tutorials on our favorite plugins and features, which will make your site more efficient.

There are many website marketing strategies and we are going to break these down into two blog posts.  Many website owners do not even know what are some of the website marketing strategies.  We will discuss four strategies.  Three of the four are free, but each of them takes work.  None of these are easy, and really all of them can be outsourced.  We do not recommend outsourcing.

Email Marketing

Email marketing is more than having an email capture on your home page.  You need to have a call to action or provide something to your visitors in exchange for their email addresses.  This portion of your website should be viewed as GOLD. You have someone wishing to provide you with access to them, by providing you with their email address.  Do not send them daily post or clearance sales, unless it is specific mention prior to securing their email addresses.  The only exception that we have seen is providing daily spiritual messages or reading for a faith-based organization.

You need to think about an email sequence.  Once you secure someone’s email, then plan out how you can incorporate them into your community.  Grow your community.  This is the first step in growing your website’s community.  Are you going to provide monthly pain point solutions?  Are you going to provide access to a special blog post?  Plan out your email sequence prior to placing your email capture.  This is the roadmap to growing your community.  Your community is how you can grow your community.

Organic Social Media

You need to have a presence on social media.  Find out where your target audience is located, maybe it is Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, and/or Tik Tok.  You need to find out where your target audience resides.  You need to post a minimum of three or four times a day.  Send out polls.  Display your work.  Place blog posts that solve a pain point.  Use this as the first step to showcase your expertise.  Connect your social media followers to your email capture marketing.

Again this is a good way to grow your community.  Posting takes time.  Posting takes a strategy.  Posting can be scheduled and when planned out correctly can grow your website.

Search Engine Optimization and Content

Blogging is essential for growth.  Blogging is an easy way to get noticed by Google, Yahoo, Bing, and other search engines.  You get to showcase your expertise and solve your target audience’s pain points.  Blog at least weekly, we tend to blog on a daily basis.  If you have not blogged in the past 6 months, then this can harm your brand.  Some cause websites with blogs older than six months, dead sites.  Are you still in business?  What are you doing?  Can you be reliable?  So remember, blogging is very important.

Remember we provided some tips on how to blog daily?  This is a super way to grow your website’s community and provide expert information to your target audience.

Paid Social Ads

Everyone [or most of us] has a budget for social ads.  We run Google ads, Facebook ads, and/or LinkedIn ads.  This drives traffic to our website.  This is not an industry secret.  Some have larger budgets than others, some target specific pages or services.  The traffic could be for a specific product or service, or from a specific location.  We just want eyeballs on our site and services.

Conclusion

You are not going to grow your website or organization, without a proper marketing strategy.  These are some freeways, but it is going to take a lot of hard work and research.  Remember, growing your community could be the difference in you being in business today, tomorrow, and forever.  If you have a web product or application need, then feel free to reach out to us at info@jdswebdesign.biz or 678-718-5489.
