What are the top 6 Digital Marketing Strategies?

In the mist of Covid-19 (Corona Virus), we at JDS WebDesign are hoping everyone is safe, washing your hands frequently, sneezing and coughing in your elbow, and practicing social distancing.  Over the next several weeks, we are planning on blogging about how to make your website more business friendly.  We will have some tutorials on our favorite plugins and features, which will make your site more efficient.

We love to share our knowledge and many times new start-up companies will poll us about digital marketing strategies.  Generally there is 6 digital marketing strategies all start-up websites should be employing.  Search Engine Optimization.  Blogging.  Analytics.  Social Media Platforms. Great Content. Email Optin Marketing.

Search Engine Optimization

It is universally known that you will need to conduct some type of search engine optimization (SEO) marketing strategy.  We would recommend organic, as well as paid per click (ppc). Come up with a strategic plan, on how your seo is going to create traffic to your site.  While investing in PPC is a short term solution, organic traffic is always a better and more value able result for your website.

Blogging

The ability to discuss your services.  Keeping your target audience up to date on the latest.  Showcasing your expertise.  Reason why someone needs (not should want) to develop a relationship with you. While blogging is time consuming, it can assist in your search engine optimization numbers.

Analytics

So where are your visitors coming from.  Did they find out about your site from a social media post (we will talk about social media platforms next)?  A blog post.  Are you getting local traffic? What is your bounce rate?  Bounce rate is the measurement of how long someone stays on a particular page…higher number is not good.  Having a low bounce rate, means visitors are coming to your site and staying.

Social Media Platforms

Do you have a business facebook page? Linkedin page?  Twitter account? Instagram? Youtube? Leverage your friends and followers.  Create post in association with your blog post as a digital marketing strategy.

Great Content

Great (relevant) content.  Make sure your content is relate able to your target audience.  How is your tone?  Are you writing for your target audience or yourself?  Website content should be one of your first digital marketing strategies.  Create GREAT (or as we like to call it relevant) content.  Content that will make your visitors come back on a regular basis. Blogging is a small part of your content.

Email Optin Marketing

So many site has optin pop-ups.  For your email, we will provide this and that.  Then you get place on a missing task email list.  These emails are gold.  Someone has taken the time to provide you with their email, use this as a digital marketing tool. Keep in contact with your email list.  Provide them with new information about your services/products.
