How to increase engagement on your social media platform?

If your organization is not at least two social media platforms, then your organization is missing out on a simple marketing strategy.  Social media platforms are here to stay, and most of your leads are checking their social media platforms on a daily basis.  The average person spends over 147 minutes every day looking at their social media, which is over 2 hours a day. Your organization needs to be creating posts and using some basic techniques to stay relevant with your potential leads. The social media platform does not matter, these techniques will work with each one.  Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, and Tiktok.

Your organization does need a social media policy.  This policy should outline what can be posted and what can not be posted. This policy should determine who can post. This policy should have some severe consequences for any policy breaches. Your organization’s social media platforms can help to grow your organization, but if it is not used correctly your social media platforms could become a major distraction. And some hashtags are not good for business.

Visuals

Invest in some custom visuals to be displayed on your social media platforms. Use hashtags with each of these visuals. Encourage visitors and leads to share your visual posts.

Interactivity

Your organization’s post should be interactive.  Use videos, gifs, and quizzes to allow engagements from your potential leads. Ask relevant questions that are important to your core visitors. Make sure you have a comment filter to keep your conversations relevant to your content.

Originality

If your organization’s competitor post something which has gone viral, then do not copy the content or make anything remotely similar.  Originality is the best policy. Look at your organization’s pain points, and create content that solves those pain points.

Content

Use storytelling techniques to get out your content.  Expose your content experiences. Be very conversational. Image speaking to a good friend across the dinner table. Remember the tone of the conversation. Keep consistent with your organization’s missions and values.

Promotion

Always encourage sharing of content. Cross-channel content, which means posting the same content on different platforms. Measure your engagements. Checking your social media analytics could answer the question of where your leads exist.

Conclusion

Social media platforms can be a very useful tool for growing your organization. It does take some time and sweat equity, but just checking your engagements could determine where your leads exist. Displaying quizzes could help your organization understand what is important to your leads. Again this is a free solution, that will take some time and effort.
