Websites Marketing Strategies Part 2

In the midst of Covid-19 (Corona Virus), we at JDS WebDesign are hoping everyone is safe, washing their hands frequently, sneezing and coughing in their elbow, and practicing social distancing.  Over the next several weeks, we are planning on blogging about how to make your website more business-friendly.  We will have some tutorials on our favorite plugins and features, which will make your site more efficient.

There are many website marketing strategies and we are going to break these down into two blog posts.  Many website owners do not even know what are some of the website marketing strategies.  We will discuss four strategies.  Three of the four are free, but each of them takes work.  None of these are easy, and really all of them can be outsourced.  We do not recommend outsourcing.

Guest Post and Bloggers

This can be a revenue-generating strategy, but you have to be very careful about Guest Bloggers and/or Guest Posts. Make sure the posts are related to your industry.  Make sure the post solves a pain point of your target audience.  Decided if you are going to allow follow backlinks?  Make sure you have a set payment for the post.

There are some very good guest bloggers, who are trying to grow their audience.  You might want to ask about being a guest blogger on a larger site, to bring some visitors over to your website. Generally, if you are a guest blogger, then you will need to make some type of payment to the website owner.

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing or referral programs are revenue-generating.  You could have someone selling your products or services for a small percentage.  You would need to set up an affiliate link and spell out the terms of the program to avoid a headache down the road.   Again, you can grow your community by setting up an affiliate marketing program.

Some only allow affiliate marketers to come from their community.  This will keep everyone on track, and you should not worry about someone providing misinformation or bad content.

Online Reviews

News Flash.  Visitors do read online reviews.  Especially ones that are story themes and not one-liners. If something did not right, and you had to fix it, then ask for an online review.  Showcase to your community, while they should continue to love your website and organization.  Ask for reviews about how your services and products work.  Do not run away from criticism. Explain your company’s position.  Work toward a resolution.  Ask for an updated review to showcase that it is important how you view your community.

Brand Partnership

Look for partnership.  This can be revenue-generating, but also make sure that you align companies that share your vision and mission.  Make sure your partnership is something that you would recommend to your community.  Make sure you know your partners.  Do not partner with someone that you are unfamiliar with.

Your brand partnership is more than a few dollars, it is a partnership that shares a common vision and mission.
