Tips to Organize Your Work Life
In the midst of Covid-19 (Corona Virus), we at JDS WebDesign are hoping everyone is safe, washing your hands frequently, sneezing and coughing in your elbow, and practicing social distancing. Over the next several weeks, we are planning on blogging about how to make your website more business-friendly. We will have some tutorials on our favorite plugins and features, which will make your site more efficient.
Work-life balance is critical to being able to succeed in both your professional and personal life. If you are not happy at work, then some of that unhappiness can spill over into your private life. And if you are not happy in your private life, then some of that unhappiness can spill over into your professional life. Learning how to organize your work life is very important.
Relegate Work to your workplace
If you are a remote worker, then designate a specific area for working only. If this has to be a shared space, then remove all your work items. You should not be doing any work unless you are in work mode. If you are hanging out with your family, then your workspace should be set up for private activities. Keep your work life separate from your private life.
Give everything a home
Again if you are working, then have a designated space for work. If you are hanging out with family or friends, then your surroundings should be private and not professional. Make sure that everything has a home. Your workspace. Your private space.
Create dropzone
Most of us received work via email or packages. Make sure you have a dropzone to put in upcoming work. Do not share your work emails with personal requests and vice versa.
Make a routine or schedule
Set a routine or schedule. Stick with your routine and/or schedule.
