See the big problem, advice for start-up companies.

In the mist of Covid-19 (Corona Virus), we at JDS WebDesign are hoping everyone is safe, washing your hands frequently, sneezing and coughing in your elbow, and practicing social distancing.  Over the next several weeks, we are planning on blogging about how to make your website more business friendly.  We will have some tutorials on our favorite plugins and features, which will make your site more efficient.

How come we struggle to find the big problem? Why we do not put ourselves in our customer’s shoes and analysis their pain points?  Have we thought about solutions, which we create on a daily basis? A small tip for creating a website for a start-up (or any project) company.

See the big picture

What are you trying to do?  What problem are you solving? What is the big picture?  For us, we create solutions.  We do not build websites…anyone can build a website.  We solve your clients’ (target audience) pain point.  So how do we solve your target audience’s pain point?

First we drill down to what you do? You might think…we  sell widgets.  How does that widget make your target audience more efficient? Why is it important for your target audience to secure your widgets?  What value does your widget provide to your target audience.  *By the way, a widget is an imagery product or services.

Making you see the big picture!  The service or product that you provide to your target audience.  We do this by analyzing three important features…how does your  widget create a new demand?  Can your widget turn problems into opportunities?  And finally, does your widget create value (for your target audience)?

Create and capture new demand

During our discovery (strategy planning stage), we focus on how you are creating and capture new demand.  Why do your target audience want to purchase your widget?  What is the demand for your widget?  How does your widget differ from your competition?

Many times start-ups are looking to add convention in our lives.  Many folks think Uber or Lyft or just for intoxicated party goers…false.  Companies see the value.  Business travelers see the value.  No rental cars.  No getting loss.  No paying for expensive parking.  No credit cards…you can set up a paypal account.  No deposits for rental cars.  Since the cost is lower than the traditional mode of transportation (taxi or cabs), this form of transportation is becoming an industry standard for business travels.   They have create a new demand…

Turn problems into opportunities

“One person trash is another one treasure”.  Successful entrepreneurs turn problems into opportunities.  What issues does your widget solve?  Can your widget allow your target audience to sleep at night?

Exposing your widget to the wide world…and introducing your widgets to a selected few (your target audience) is our main focus.  So making your target audience see value…

Create value

Creating value for your target audience is critical.  The value of having your widget.  The importance of having your widget. How your widget makes your target audience more efficient?  What value is your website creating?  Is it creating value?  Do you know?
