Why is “Responsive Performance” so important?
Why is responsive performance so important? Most organizations do not know what is responsive performance. How does your website perform, when it is being viewed on a mobile phone or tablet? Does your content stay within the margins? Does your website look totally different? How is your messaging being presented on your website? Does your website load very slowly? Are your images being displayed or do you have an unidentified icon? Have anyone in your organization looked at how your organization’s website is displayed on a mobile device? It might surprise your organization.
What does it matter?
According to many studies, more than 50% of our visitors are viewing your organization’s website on their mobile phones or tablets. One of the reasons why it matters is that most of your traffic is viewing your organization’s website on a mobile device. Your organization should make it a priority to have a good user experience for your visitors. Poor user experience is one of the most popular reasons for not coming back to your organization’s website. The user experience could lead to more traffic, as mobile users are more than twice likely to refer to responsive websites. These referrals lead to an increase in conversion, which means more leads to the services, products, or both that your organization is providing. Lastly, mobile responsiveness has a direct relationship to increase social sharing. Many visitors only check on their social media platforms on mobile devices. This leads to why many social sharing plugins have higher conversion rates on mobile devices instead on CPUs.
How to improve responsive performance?
There are five ways to improve your responsiveness. Select reliable web hosting. Build your website on a responsive theme, and use a CRM (such as WordPress) that incorporate responsive themes. Use cache solution. Optimize images on your website. Lastly, clean up your database on a regular basis.
*Web Hosting – Do not place a ten thousand dollar website on a $10 a month hosting plan. Your organization is just asking for your website to get hacked. Stay away from shared hosting. If your organization can not afford VPN (Virtual Performance Network … which means it is on a server by itself), then find a good Management solution.
*Responsive Theme – If you are using WordPress as your CRM, then make sure your theme is responsive. Stay away from free themes, yes there are some good ones out there. But there are far more premium good themes. Stay away from themes with a lot of built-in plugins.
*Cache solution – According to Wikipedia, In computing, a cache ( KASH)[1] is a hardware or software component that stores data so that future requests for that data can be served faster; the data stored in a cache might be the result of an earlier computation or a copy of data stored elsewhere. A cache hit occurs when the requested data can be found in a cache, while a cache miss occurs when it cannot. Cache hits are served by reading data from the cache, which is faster than recomputing a result or reading from a slower data store; thus, the more requests that can be served from the cache, the faster the system performs.
*Optimize Images – Use a reliable plugin to optimize your images, to compress them down to a reliable size. Eliminate slow page speed, because the hosting is taking a lot of time to load the images. There are many really good optimized image plugins.
*Clean your database – Clean or optimize your database on a regular basis. Daily if possible. Especially if your organization’s website has some javascript. Or really any coding language in the background, your database will need to be cleaned on a regular basis, typically daily to keep your site from loading slowly.
