Refresh
I have been writing blog posts daily for a couple of months. It has been a great experience. However this past week, I decided to take a small break.
My blog post was beginning to sound very similar. The post was about my experiences in business, meeting new or existing clients, and sharing funny or serious stories.
I wanted to share more than my cute and funny stories. I wanted to discuss my favorite plugins, theme (DIVI), and services. I wanted to talk about my podcast. I wanted to discuss my involvement in the WordPress Community (I have been invited to speak at WordCamp Asheville…which I am super excited about and will have a blog post about that later). I wanted to discuss some business experiences, such as how to survive as a freelance web designer.
Relax
During my hiatus, I took some time off to just relax. I have read other blog posts. I have been focusing on my business. I have been looking at creating some new relationships/partnerships. I have been reading (which I love to do!!!). I have been working on my goals for 2017 – 2018.
My back has been a bit sore, so I was not able to play a round of golf. I did get to help organize a golf tournament. It was nice to be on the other side since I participate in many tournaments. I got to discuss my likes and dislikes about the tournament. It was weird because many of the dislikes were similar to business issues. Make sure no surprises! Make sure the playing field is level! Communicate all changes with everyone! Be open to making changes midstream!
I try to spend quality time with my family. But this past week, I spend even more quality time with my family. This week felt different. I was not concerned about a feature image, and/or content. I was not worried about reactions or comments. I was RELAX.
Rejuvenated
I did attend a couple of WordPress MeetUps. I love attending MeetUps. I love to meet experienced, or in-experience WordPress designers/developers, bloggers, and hobbyists. I love to interact and hear their stories.
This truly was a good relaxing week. I would encourage everyone to take a break. Refresh, Relax, and Rejuvenate yourself.
