Our Basic Marketing Strategy
In the midst of Covid-19 (Corona Virus), we at JDS WebDesign are hoping everyone is safe, washing their hands frequently, sneezing and coughing in their elbow, and practicing social distancing. Over the next several weeks, we are planning on blogging about how to make your website more business-friendly. We will have some tutorials on our favorite plugins and features, which will make your site more efficient.
Our (at least one of them) Basic Marketing Strategy. Sometimes asking fellow agency owners, what are their go-to marketing strategies is like trying to get a famous chef’s recipe. Not going to happen, which really does not make sense. We will explain our basic marketing strategy and the tools that we use to accomplish our results. These tools work in conjunction with our Marketing Mission and Know, Like, and Trust Strategy.
CRM
We use several customer relationship management tools, but our go-to CRM is FluenctCRM. We have the Pro (Premium) version and it allows us to create email campaigns, email sequencing, email triggers and automation and provides excellent reports. We use this with a call to action and is the backbone of our nurturing process with all our potential clients.
Sales Funnel
We are a CartFlows junkies. Again, we have the Pro (Premium) version. This is a drag-and-drop plugin that offers excellent templates for sales funnels. We can upsell, down-sell, and slim down the checkout process. It does work with Woocommerce. A/B Testing and one-click upsells are our favorite features. It integrates well with our CRM.
Email Capture
MailPoet is our favorite. We picked MailPoet over some of the industry’s favorites (MailChimp, and Constant Contact) for two reasons. It is your data and your subscribers are located in your user section. You own the data. It has a free and premium version, but it also has email sequencing and trigger features. It is super easy to set up and very reliable.
How does it work?
We create a call-to-action and/or free solution campaign and use our email capture to secure potential clients’ emails. Sometimes we use our sales funnel to secure the potential client’s email address. Once we have the email secured, then we populate it in our CRM. We provide solutions to pain points and showcase our expertise. Using our Marketing Mission, we provide a reason to want to know us, like us, and more importantly trust us. Some of our funnels are to provide helpful information, we are not looking to get a sale. But to provide more expert information and position ourselves as experts in our niche field.
Conclusion
These are premium and not cheap solutions. We are not affiliated with any of these services. They are just our favorites. We use them to automate our funnel process. We also use Google and Facebook Ads to drive traffic to our funnels. SEORush assists us with our organic keywords and traffic. Most of our campaigns have a shelf life of 12 – 18 months, and we might not know the value until after the 18-month period. Marketing is not a set-it-and-forget-it process, you have to continue to measure the data and figure out what is working.
