JDS WebDesign St. Patrick Day

When I was young, St. Patrick Day was the “Green Day”.  You had to wear green, or someone (usually bigger and stronger) would pinch you.  And the pinches would be numerous and frequently, I made the mistake at the age of ten.  I have wore green on St. Patrick’s Day since then.

I wish that some site owners, would get “pinched” for not having a Marketing Strategy.  My design process is very simple.  I have a consultation with my client, to discuss goals/objectives, and features/functionality. Secondly, I begin the design process and secure content (I do have a content management expert, who will review the content and make changes for search engine optimization reasons).  Thirdly, I build out the site on a demo site.  This will give my client a chance to see the design.  Fourthly, the site is launched.  A small blast will be made, maybe the site will be subscribed to several of my favorite blogs.  Finally, the site’s search engine optimization is worked on.  Search engine optimization is a marathon and not a sprint.  Our content management expert, will research top key words (I have heard some designer/developer will do this during the build out…my position is because it is a ever changing process, I want the most review key words at this stage). A Marketing Plan is put into place.  KLT Strategy is used…get the client’s audience to KNOW to client, LIKE the client, and TRUST the client.

When I am asked about my design/support cost, I will discuss my design process. I look at my design process, in the same fashion as, St. Patrick’s Day.  I will tell you about my design process, and give you a virtue “pinch” for not listening.

I would like to wish everyone a Happy St. Patrick’s Day.  Enjoy your GREEN BEER, and be responsible. If you need a web design or re-design, then I am taking “prospective clients”.
