How do I tell my story?
In the mist of Covid-19 (Corona Virus), we at JDS WebDesign are hoping everyone is safe, washing your hands frequently, sneezing and coughing in your elbow, and practicing social distancing. Over the next several weeks, we are planning on blogging about how to make your website more business friendly. We will have some tutorials on our favorite plugins and features, which will make your site more efficient.
Branding is all about telling your story. What makes your organization different from others? Maybe it is your passion. How do you make time to get out your message? What skills do you need to tell your story? Again, how are you telling your story? Hopefully you are telling it to individuals, who need your services. Hopefully people, who need to know about you and your organization, are drawing to you in the near future. Hope you are putting your organization in front of people in need of your services.
What problems are you trying to solve?
We are trying to create non profit and faith based organization digital products. Our goal is to showcase, how digital and brick & mortal can coexist. Just because you have a church or faith based organization, this does not eliminate you from having a great website. An informational website. One in which your flock can tithe, find out about upcoming events, ministries offered, and ways to get involved. If you have a non profit organization, then you should have one in which visitors can donate to your organization. Visitors can learn about your organization. You can see how many folks are coming to your site on a month, weekly and daily basis. How to leverage your analytic numbers to get revenue.
Do you have the time or resources?
Sometimes we need to be honest with ourselves. Do we have time to tell our story? If we do not, then maybe we need to hire someone. We need to hire a professional storyteller. We need to make sure that our story is interesting and relevant to our visitors. Do we have the resources? Sometimes we need to break down our story into parts. Complete part one, save some resource and then work on part two. This is a great process to get out your story.
Do you have the skill to succeed?
