I am Back | Lifestyle of a Web Designer
I am back. I have not blog in about a month. I was a little busy. I was getting ready for WordCampUS. I was trying to wrap up all my outstanding projects. I have one left to finish in December (I do not like to work in December, rather spend time with my family).
I will do a blog post about my experiences at WordCampUS. I meet Nick Roach, founder of Elegant Themes, and his staff. Elegant Themes did not have a booth, but had morning coffee hang outs and was present for the entire conference. I did get a selfie (it was shared on my twitter account). I will outline my conversations and some thoughts with regards to Divi and the future of Divi.
I meet Bridget Willard from GiveWP. GiveWP is a donation plugin. I have used it on several of my projects. I use it on faith based and/or non profit organization websites. Bridget introduced me to her team. I am looking forward to the growth of GiveWP.
I meet the Modern Tribe, which developed The Event Calendar. I used The Event Calendar on all my sites, which need a calendar plugin. I had an interesting conversation about the direct The Event Calendar was headed.
I meet the Siteground, my hosting company, crew. I had an chance to discuss some of my favorites and some of my not so favorite issues. I am going to send out an email with details to the Siteground representative. I will keep you advised on his response or lack of response.
I did come back from Philadelphia (where WordCampUS was held) with a cold. It is not smart to go to Philadelphia (on the 1st weekend in December) and forget your coat. I was layered down, usually with three or four layers. However, my layers was just not up to the winds of downtown Philly.
