Atlanta WordPress Business Owners Morning and Daily Routines

A few weeks ago, I saw an interesting article, 11 morning and daily routines of WordPress Business Owners by Patricia Borlovan.  As I read the blog post, I began wondering what is the typical morning and daily routines of several other successful Atlanta WordPress Business Owners.  Having just finished as an Organizer for WordCamp Atlanta 2017, I reached out to several of my friends.  I have listed them in alphabetical order via their first names:

1).  What is the first thing you do in the morning?

Read for 10 – 20 minutes and write for 20 minutes
2).  Talk in one-two phrases about your daily routine.
I have a strict morning routine to prepare for the day and produce some thinking, a wildly random middle of my day where I work, and a strict afternoon routine to wrap up my day and get to inbox zero.
3).  What special thing that keeps you motivated on your work and business?
I love people, getting to know them and figuring out how to help them grow their business. At our core that is what Sideways8 does, and what 48in48 does for that matter.
4).  Are you a coffee or tea type of person?
Black coffee in the morning, tea in the afternoon.

1).  What is the first thing you do in the morning?

I put on my work out clothes. I lay them out the night before. This is a make or break for me. If I don’t put them out the night before, I’m not going to make it. I put my hair up and go downstairs and turn on the coffee maker. I make my boy’s breakfast and make sure he gets dressed. I drop him off at school and hit the gym for a little treadmill work. I go back home for a shower. I rotate one load of laundry and then I’m ready to start my day. I don’t feel right if I don’t keep the laundry going
2).  Talk in one-two phrases about your daily routine.
Every one of my days are different. If I can keep my morning on point, it all works out.
3).  What special thing that keeps you motivated on your work and business?
Being able to make my own decisions about how I spend my time with my kids. If I want to take my boy to the zoo on a Tuesday morning, that is what I’m going to do.
4).  Are you a coffee or tea type of person?
Coffee – stovetop espresso, french press, drip, iced, or Keurig…It is all good to me, as long as it is strong. I’m favoring iced, right now.

Family and personal time for a couple of hours then head to the office. Most days, I eat lunch at a local restaurant and then leave the office around 4:30pm to pickup my daughter. More family time until 8pm and then some light work while watching a movie or tv show with my wife.
3).  What special thing that keeps you motivated on your work and business?
My office is located at the Digital Ignition incubator / co-work facility which is really great. There’s always a lot of other entrepreneurs around and the facility and staff are top-notch. Being in that environment keeps me motivated.
4).  Are you a coffee or tea type of person?
Iced tea.

1).  What is the first thing you do in the morning?

I begin my day with daily prayer and mediation reading.  Then I wake up my kids and take them to school.
