How to Adopt Technology Church Digital Presence?

In the midst of Covid-19 (Corona Virus), we at JDS WebDesign hope everyone is safe, washing their hands frequently, sneezing and coughing on their elbow, and practicing social distancing.  Over the next several weeks, we plan on blogging about making your website more business-friendly.  We will have some tutorials on our favorite plugins and features, which will make your site more efficient.

One of the best things to come out of the pandemic is that Technology can help your organization continue to grow.   Some of our client’s digital presence numbers went out of the roof.  Their website analytic numbers went out of the roof.  Their social media platform’s engagement numbers went out of the roof.  What was the number one reason for these dramatic changes, limiting the fear of technology and embracing technology?  We spent weeks, and in some cases months, holding zoom meetings with our clients about how we could grow their organization.  The meetings were not ways to get our clients on zoom or google handouts, but to showcase how to grow their organization.

So how does your organization grow its digital presence?

Global vs. Local

One of the first things that technology has taught us, is that your reach is going to be wider.  Your message is not just for your local or regional visitors.  Your organization has an opportunity to speak to Global visitors and provide information on your organization.

Proficient

Technology is more proficient than non-technology.  Your message, which is determined and narratives by your organization, can be pushed out on many platforms and also can be specific about your beliefs and why your organization believes them. Your organization controls the narrative, which means that the story can be displayed on your website, mobile application, and social media platforms.  Your organization also controls the time when your message is displayed.  Timing is everything.  And your organization has the ability to schedule certain messages and get in front of certain situations.

Relevance

What is your organization’s mission? Your digital presence allows your organization a social relevance platform to discuss, organized, and offer outreach for your organization’s missions.  We are still employing our clients to keep pushing their agenda and missions.  Social Media Policy is needed to control the narrative, certain features are needed on your website, such as a pastor’s pad, translated sermon, ability to title, and joining church online (or providing a form to interested visitors).  Recently, some faith-based organization are wanting members to come back in person.  This is an important issue, but what about the members, who for health reasons are not able to join?  Your digital presence might be the only means for them to participate and receive the word.

Conclusion

Your competitors have an online presence and are outgrowing your reach.  What is your waiting on?  Move away from that free or untouched website and improve your reach.  We can be reached at info@jdswebdesign.biz or 678-718-5489. It is time for your organization’s mission to be Global instead of local.
